Gossip keeps ' DDD' do alive.

THE team of Zoya Akhtar's muchhyped Dil Dhadakne Do ( DDD) launched the trailer of the film at a suburban cineplex in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Ranveer Singh, one of the film's lead actors, turned out in public for the first time after a recent surgery. However, despite carrying his arm in a sling, the actor was spirited as ever and clearly stole the limelight.

Priyanka Chopra, one of the two leading heroines of the film, was also present at the event, striking poses in a knitted top.

Anil Kapoor, Zoya and film co- producer Ritesh Sidhwani were also among those spotted at the do.

The peppy trailer, full of life, impressed all and would have been talk of the evening but for the fact that everyone noted how the film's other heroine, Anushka Sharma, has been largely missing from all promotional activities related to the film so far. While Anushka is away on work for another project, gossipmongers could not help remember that Ranveer, very much the limelight moth of the evening, happens to be Anushka's ex.

Beyond such idle chatter was Priyanka, who was seen admiring posters of the film along with Ranveer.

At one point, the overtly extrovert Ranveer was even seen greeting Anil with a peck on the cheek, which Anil reciprocated in kind.

Ranveer and Priyanka play siblings in the film while Anushka and Farhan Akhtar essay their respective love interests.

Industry buzz has stated that Zoya had originally approached Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor to play Ranveer and Priyanka's roles but the Kapoor cousins did not have the dates to spare for the film.

Anil and Shefali Shah will be seen playing Ranveer and Priyanka's parents in Dil Dhadakne Do , the story of which narrates the experiences of a quirky and dysfunctional family on a cruise trip.

The film's trailer has received a positive response from netizens too. The film is set to release on June 5.
