Carissa Marie Goslin and Bradley Michael Shumaker were united in marriage at First Evangelical Church in Memphis, Tennessee, on August 26, 2006, at seven o'clock in the evening. Serving as officiate to the double-ring ceremony was Rev. Ronald Rowlett of Hope Presbyterian Church. Soloists Paige and Timothy Heinz set the tone for a celebratory mood as the sanctuary glowed with jewel-toned roses illuminated by an aisle of candlelight and an altar glowing in candelabras.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. Goslin Jr. of Magnolia, Texas and Dr. and Mrs. Abbas E. Kitabchi of Memphis, Tennessee. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick M. Harrell of Brandon, and the late Mr. Michael E. Shumaker of Pearl.

"Trumpet Voluntary" piped through the church as the bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a strapless duchess silk satin Lazaro couture gown heavily embellished with antique rhinestones and Swarovski crystals that adorned the center of the bodice, and a chapel-length train cascaded from box pleats. A cathedral-length veil, shimmering in rhinestones and silver trim, accented the ensemble. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of jewel-toned red roses accented with silver pearls and white stephanotis.

Wearing silver strapless A-line gowns accompanied by pewter sashes that elegantly crossed in the back and flowed into a puddle, the attendants carried bouquets of jewel-toned roses accented with crystal embellishments hand-tied with silver ribbons. Serving as maid of honor was Hollie Ann Fischer. Bridesmaids were Amanda Leigh Bailey, Melanie Jane Harrell, Melissa May Harrell, Karly Moneir Kitabchi, Blake Elizabeth Novy Means, Heather Jo Moton, LaShona Oaks Taylor, and Lora Brooke Ward. Junior bridesmaids were Crizta Darling Goslin and Hannah Grace Pfrommer.

Frederick Marion Harrell Jr., the groom's stepfather, served as best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Wade Breazeale, Louis Donald Carpenter, Robert Ross Dingus, Dustin Danny Dabbs, Richard Dale Evans, Frederick William Goslin III, William Christopher Lotterhos, and Mark Edward Power Jr. Casey John William Goslin served as junior groomsman.

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to an elegant reception at the University Club hosted by the bride's parents. The services of Michelle Hope of Social Butterflies yielded a true fairytale that concluded with a grand exit of cascading fireworks and a heart-shaped horse-drawn carriage to send off the newlyweds.

Friday afternoon, the bridesmaids' luncheon was held at Elfo's Restaurant. On the eve of the wedding the groom's parents honored the couple by hosting a rehearsal dinner for the wedding party and out-of-town guests at Felicia Suzanne's.

After a honeymoon in St. Martin, the couple resides in Olive Branch.
