Gordon Henery Damery.

LAKE SEMINOLE SQUARE, FL Gordon Henery Damery, 78, of Lake Seminole Square, FL, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at Bay Pines Medical Center in Florida. He was born in Somerville, MA on August 6, 1929. He and his wife came to Florida in 1987 after living in Holden, Westminster, and Gardner, MA.

He is survived by his wife Claire to whom he was married 53 years; his two children, a daughter, Brenda Helleberg and her companion Douglas Campbell; son, Eric Damery and his wife Lynne; and 6 grandchildren, Caleb, Allison, and Rachel Helleberg, Brittany Goodwin, Nicholas, and Sarah Damery. Also, his brother Thomas and wife June of Massachusetts and Maine.

He is an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the National Blinded Veterans Association for 50 years. He graduated from Boston University and received a Masters Degree from Springfield College in MA. He was retired from the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission after 22 years as a Regional Director. Gordon and his wife Claire were co-owners of Damery Realty for 8 years in Westminster, MA.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered as a hardworking, fun loving, inspirational man. He was a member of the Seminole United Methodist Church, FL.

Memorial donations may be made to Pinellas Talking Book Library, 1330 Cleveland St., Clearwater, FL. The family invites friends to a memorial service at Bay Pines National Cemetery, FL, Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 10 am. There will be a memorial service at Lake Seminole Square auditorium at 2pm, Thursday, March 27, 2008.
