Google doodles to celebrate UAE National Day.

Today, Google celebrates National Day with a doodle on its homepage on the UAE domain.

The doodle depicts a falcon flying across the sky as it carries banners in the color of the UAE flag which form the Google logo with one of the banners depicting one of the tombs found on the island of Umm Al-Nar.

The history of the United Arab Emirates extends to well before the union was formed 41 years ago. The doodle also celebrates the civilization of Umm Al Nar which existed on an island just off the coast of Abu Dhabi from around 2500 to 2000 BC.

Doodles are known as the decorative changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate different people, events or special dates such as holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists and scientists. Over the years, doodles on the Google homepage have made searching on Google more fun and enjoyable for its users worldwide.
