Search engine giant Google on Thursday marked the 135th birth anniversary of India's Nightingale Sarojini Naidu with a new doodle on its homepage.

Doodle featured Naidu's portrait in the place of the second 'O' within Google's official logo and a pen in place of the letter 'L' to showcase Naidu's contributions to literature. Sarojini Naidu was born on 13th February, 1879 in Hyderabad, as Sarojini Chattopadhyaya.

The couple had five children- Jayasurya, Padmaja, Randheer, Nilawar and Leelamani. Her daughter Padmaja followed her footprints and became the Governor of West Bengal, as well as a poet. "The Feather of The Dawn" was edited and published posthumously in 1961 by her daughter Padmaja.
