The pending sale of Goodyear's polyester tire cord and fabric plant in Scottsboro, AL, will not affect the production or supply of a quantity of PET resins processed there, company officials said. The company's future plans are to consolidate that part of its business at Point Pleasant, WV, to help centralize the production of its entire line of PET-based resins and recycled resin.

Goodyear's Engineered Products Division named its former Automotive Products group Transportation Products to better reflect the division's market coverage.

Goodyear's Films Products Division formed two business units to further improve its focus on new products and market opportunities, the company said. The two business units are called Industrial Films and Food Films.
