Good reasons to join a ski club.

Good reasons to join a ski club Is skiing with friends your favorite way to spend a winter weekend? Joining a ski club can make such weekends easier to arrange and more affordable. As a member of a ski club, you can enjoy discount lift tickets, group transportation, group lodging, and a ready pool of fellow skiers.

Most clubs require you to attend at least one local meeting before going on an outing. You may prefer to forgo that step and just get out on the slopes, but a meeting is an excellent way to find out about a club (and decide whether you want to spend time with its members). There are plenty of clubs around; look for the one that suits you best.

Here we list northern California downhill ski clubs and their telephone numbers. They're listed by area, but some have additional pick-up locations. Most are nonprofit social groups. Some are open to all; some are geared to specific groups. Unless noted, area code is 415.
