Good fortune on the cards.

She is hoping to set up a business producing a new range of greetings cards - Astro-Inspirations by Katie-Ann, which are natal charts set against a scenic background.
"Each card is unique in that it is the customer's actual birth chart, which I draw up myself," says Kathleen. "The card also contains a brief reading based on the person's sun sign, moon sign and ascendant, or rising, sign.
"For those who do not know their actual time of birth, I base their reading on their sun sign and moon sign only."
She designs the cards on computer, having recently gained a distinction in advanced web page design at Redcar and Cleveland college, and using her artistic skills.
"The idea for the cards came from an interest in digital imaging during the college course."
She is also intending to do double charts - incorporating the natal chart with cards for special occasions such as engagements, weddings or anniversaries.
Kathleen has had a lifelong interest in astrology - an interest stretching back to childhood when her two sisters avidly read their daily horoscopes in newspapers and magazines.
"I often disagreed with the horoscopes and that was when I decided to learn more about astrology," she says.
"Over time my interest deepened and I have since taught astrology at further and adult education centres in the Redcar area."
Kathleen also has a teaching qualification for art and design and she links these skills with her newly-found computer skills to incorporate the natal charts into a scenic background.
"One autumn day I noticed that there were many spiders webs in my garden, attached to fence posts and bushes and silhouetted against the sky," she says.
"At this time I was working on ways to depict natal charts in some sort of artistic way and it struck me how much like the outlines of charts these webs were.
"There it was! A way to show a chart outlined against the sky - a natal chart design inspired by nature."
