Golf: Honours even as Cheshire Girls take on Senior team; northwest.

IT WAS honours even when the Cheshire Girls team met the Cheshire Senior Ladies team at Sale.

With both teams trading birdies, an exciting match finished all square at 2-2. Mere's Charlotte Wild had to play on her own due to a late cancellation, but managed to pull off a great victory by two holes over Marjorie Griffiths and Jan McGowan. The Senior Ladies team hit back as Nan Paton and Cath Barker beat Rachel Goodall and Rachel Hawkins 1 up while Sue Barrett and Mary Weaver got the better of Bronte Law and Kelly Paxton by 3&1. But in the final game Claire Fry and Harriet Wilson won 4&2 against Sheila McKinnon and Karen Schneider to ensure the match was halved.
