Golf: Bob Harrison.

Bob Harrison triumphed by the narrowest of margins in the Garrard Cup qualifier at Kenilworth Golf Club.

Harrison carded 76, nett 66, to finish top of Division A by virtue of a better back six than Robert Owens 74, nett 66. Jon Stranks 80, nett 67, finished third.

James Porter 87, nett 67, was the Division B winner, while Tony Ranger 88, nett 70, took the runners-up spot by edging out Barry Flick 88, nett 70, thanks to a better back nine.

Owens recorded the best gross score of 74.
