Gold reserves at 60 deposits in Kyrgyzstan estimated at 448 tons.

Gold reserves at 60 deposits are estimated at 448 tons by November 2012, including confirmed 443 tons at 36 hardrock gold deposits, 5 tons at 24 stream gold deposits, according to the draft strategy of Kyrgyzstan's economic development strategy for 2013-2017. Five hardrock gold deposits are developed now - Kumtor, Makmal, Solton Sary, Terek and Terekkan. Another 6 hardrock gold deposits - Jerooy, Taldybulak Levoberezhnyi, Andash, Bozymchak, Ishtamberdy, Kuru Tegerek - have been prepared for development. The geological exploration and prospecting is carried out at other hardrock gold deposits. 258 licenses were issued in total in this sphere, including 225 licenses for prospecting and exploration.
