Going for a spin.

A REVOLUTIONARY new car could be the answer to getting out of those tricky parking spots.

The Nissan Pivo has been unveiled by the motor giant in Tokyo. Its cabin revolves 360 degrees on top of a wheeled platform, doing away with the need to reverse.

Named after the word "pivot", the car's spin feature operates on an experimental drive-by-wire system, doing away with mechanical links.

It allows steering, braking and gear shifting through electric signals sent to a computer
