Godless law.

Regarding the article reviewing John Eidsmoe's trilogy on the foundations of law ("Origins of Law," April 1 issue). I have read previous books and viewed videotapes by Eidsmoe, and he is without a doubt, a great Christian writer. I would suggest a follow-up to address the nation's current problems.

The real history of the nation began with the Mayflower Compact, which referred to God several times. Nearly all founding documents, the public schools, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and early court rulings all recognized we were a Christian nation. Then, by a bloodless coup, the Supreme Court threw God out and became the new god of the nation.

The Supreme Court actually believes it is supreme. It denies being limited by the Constitution or by God. It reworded and re-interpreted the First Amendment clause "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" and changed it to an impregnable wall of separation between "church and state," thus banning all Christian influence in the public sphere

As the new god, the court refused to acknowledge that it was limited by the Constitution. It claimed the Constitution said what the justices said it said. By reinterpreting words and using emanations and permutations, along with outright lies, the court freed itself from any limitations. The court lied in the Roe v. Wade case, claiming no one could know when a new life was formed. Biology books, at least as early as 1930, clearly describe in detail that a new life is formed at conception. The justices are not stupid. They just had an agenda, and since they were supreme, they couldn't be questioned. (This ruling alone has resulted in over 55 million babies killed in the womb, and still counting--more killed than by any other evil dictator in all of history.)

The Supreme Court enlarged its authority to include writing new laws. It wrote a Miranda law that is based on the false logic that two wrongs make a right. Numerous guilty criminals were set free because of a technicality. It established legalism over justice, so a known, convicted murderer could spend up to 10 years in the court system before being executed. It encouraged hate-crime laws that were designed to give special considerations to homosexuals. It has destroyed the right to a fair jury trial by giving the judge the authority to deny evidence he doesn't want the jury to hear. The constitutional right for a defendant to present evidence in his defense is held hostage by the judge. It has established atheist evolution in our public schools as the norm, and all evidence supporting creation is denied because it is based on the religion that it has banned.

Our once-great nation under God is now being held hostage by an anti-Christian court system that will probably determine, by the vote of one man or woman, whether marriage, the basic family unit since the world began, is to be trashed.
