God save THE Queen.

IT'S a good time to be an England fan - which isn't a sentence you can write very often.

The cricket team are in today's World 20:20 semi-final, despite their usual habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Then in their pre-Euros clash with Germany, Roy Hodgson's team became the surest bet to win any tournament since football began with a 3-2 win.

And in case we weren't feeling patriotic enough, ITV showed a documentary about The Queen at 90, which showed her as a pretty good egg.

But just think about how many renditions of the National Anthem she's endured over the years. And of those renditions, how many were sung wrongly.

I've mentioned this before, but honestly....

England fans and players, please note: lines three and seven are God Save THE Queen, not"our" queen. It's starting to annoy me now...
