Goat with cows milk.

MUZAFFARGARH, 04 May, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- The goat of Daira Din Panah breed eats like a goat but gives milk like a cow, said an official of the livestock department. He said it gives four to five litre milk like a cow daily although it does not require much care and diet like that of a cow. The official called for a need to patronise this race of the goat, otherwise, he warned, it may become extinct. He regretted it has already rarefied in this region. Cattle farmers of district Muzaffargarh and those of Daira Din Panah in particular have demanded of the government to save this race from being extinct. They said in the British era lands were allotted to growers to save the race of horse under Ghori Paal Scheme and in the same manner this goat race ought to be saved from extinction. They opined that with the help of this breeds promotion we can also meet our milk needs and export our dairy products to earn forex.
