Go-To-Market Strategies Announces New Virtual Marketing Team Offering; Provides Affordable Alternative For Companies In Need of Marketing Expertise.

Business Editors

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 2001

Go-To-Market Strategies, Inc., a Seattle-based sales and marketing consulting firm, today announced the launch of a Virtual Marketing Team approach, which they will offer to small and medium-sized companies looking to stretch their marketing dollars without growing their internal marketing staff. The service is contracted over an agreed upon period of time for a set monthly fee.

"By offering a Virtual Marketing Team, Go-To-Market Strategies provides companies with an affordable way of retaining a staff of strategic consultants with proven track records on an as-needed basis, without incurring the overhead costs of hiring a full-time, full-scale marketing staff," said Shauna Holliday, vice president of sales and marketing for Go-To-Market Strategies. "Often times, the cost of securing the Virtual Marketing Team is less than hiring one and a half full time employees."

Go-To-Market Strategies' goal is to become an organization's most trusted resource for meeting sales and marketing goals. The company specializes in teaming with developing businesses that do not yet have full-scale sales and marketing departments but want to get the most out of their marketing dollars to create and/or maintain a strong marketing presence. Go-To-Market Strategies also works with established companies taking on strategic efforts that require more support than their current staff can handle.

"With the changes in the economy, we believe that the Virtual Marketing Team offering also provides a particularly attractive and cost-effective solution for those companies that are downsizing their internal marketing departments as a way to lower overhead," adds Holliday.

Following a successful brand launch in February, retailing.net retained Go-To-Market Strategies as their Virtual Marketing Team, affording them access to a comprehensive range of skills, typically only available in a larger and more established marketing department.

"We needed a full-service marketing firm that could be an extension of our team," said Paula Paravecchio, retailing.net's vice president of sales and marketing. "Go-To-Market Strategies jumped right in and has been an integral part of our success. I couldn't be more pleased with the results."

Leveraging many years of experience in sales and marketing management, Go-to-Market Strategies' consultants specialize in the development, design, and implementation of:
-- Strategic Marketing Plans -- Web Sites

-- Brand and Sales Strategies -- Public Relations

-- Collateral Material -- Events

-- Product Launches -- Promotions
