Glock supports COPS with $50,000 donation.
Glock Inc. donated $50,000 to Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) during the 2011 International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference held in Chicago last fall.
Glock Regional Managers Warren Ackerson, Bob Radecki and Larry Burlingame, along with company spokesman R. Lee Ermey, presented the check. Accepting the donation were national COPS President Linda Moon Gregory, CEO Mariah Hughes and Trustee Mark Hannan.
COPS is a nonprofit organization that supports families of officers killed in the line of duty with scholarships, child and teen camps, counseling and programs designed for spouses and parents, and support for the department in which the fallen officer served.
"Glock is proud to contribute to organizations such as COPS, which plays such a vital role in helping to rebuild the lives of the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty," said Gary Fletcher, Glock vice president.
This marks the fifth consecutive year Glock has donated to COPS, bringing the company's total donations to the organization to $250,000.
