Global warming models flawed. (Insider Report).

Predictions generated by computer models have formed the basis for many claims that the Earth is warming. But U.S. scientists at the Amundsen-Scott station at the South Pole have found that the atmosphere over the pole is 20 to 30 degrees Celsius colder than computer models have shown. Professor Chester Gardner of the University of Illinois, joined by Illinois doctoral student Weilin Pan and Ray Roble of the U.S. National Center for Atmospheric Research, claims the models are wrong in an article published in the American Geophysical Union Letters.

Gardner explained that the team of scientists at the South Pole had recently collected temperature data at much higher altitudes than previously recorded. These findings pointed to what he termed "a major flaw in current models."
