Global Banking Corporation B.S.C.(c) ("GBCORP") one of the leading Islamic investment banks is pleased to announce that members from its Wealth Management & Investment Placement Team (IPT) and Investment Banking divisions attended an advanced specialized training course earlier this month, in Investment Representative Theory and Practice.As a strategic initiative by GBCORP, the course held in Seef Elite Suites in Bahrain, enhanced the knowledge of the fifteen participants on a broad range of theoretical scenarios for various products including equity securities, debt securities, options and mutual funds. The program also provided comprehensive training on investment banking, securities laws and regulations, trading procedures, margin accounts, customer accounts and direct participation programs. During the program, the participants were taken through an overall introduction into the Securities industry, and discussed the Servicing and Maintaining of Customer Accounts, Equities, the fundamentals of Debt, Exchange Markets, the Over-the-Counter Market, Margin Accounts, Basic Option Positions and Economics and Securities Analysis. Case studies tackled were based on the Bahrain and other Arab Capital Markets, as well as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), equity and non-equity options, technical and fundamental analysis. This program will enable the Wealth Management and IPT team to offer financial advise to GBCORP's investors.Identifying such courses for all members of its staff is in-line with GBCORP's strategy of investing in its greatest and most valuable strength - its employees. This reaffirms GBCORP's solid and unique position throughout the regional markets. Commenting on the results of the program, Mr. Nabeel Rabeea, Head of Human Resources Department at GBCORP said, "We are very pleased with the outcome of the Investment Representative Program.
