Glitter in the dock on child sex charges; IN COURT: GLAM ROCK STAR DONS SUNGLASSES AND A WIG.
The 54-year-old glam rocker made a brief appearance in the dock at Bristol Crown Court in connection with a string of sex charges involving children.
Father-of-two Glitter, who shot to fame in the 1970s with hits like I'm The Leader of The Gang, I Love You Love Me Love and Do You Wanna Touch Me, was driven to court yesterday by a friend in a red Mercedes coupe with tinted windows.
The bald singer walked into the court in a full-length black leather jacket, designer suit and brothelcreepers and had on his trademark black wig with a quiff and pony tail.
During the five-minute hearing, Glitter spoke just once when asked to confirm if he was Paul Francis Gadd.
Judge Martin Dyer released Glitter on bail and he is not expected to appear back in court for two months.
The star smiled and looked relaxed as he left and posed for pictures.
Glitter, who has homes in London and Somerset, was arrested 15 months ago after pornographic images of children were allegedly found on his home computer when he took it for repair at a store in Bristol.
He was charged with the computer offences last March and, in May, he was accused of sex attacks on young girls dating back 20 years.
