Give kids a break; VOICE OF THE email@example.com.
NOTHING is immune from Conservative cuts now that holiday snatcher Michael Gove wants to grab weeks off from schoolkids.
The Education Secretary's claim that the system is designed for 19th Century agriculture deserves a hollow laugh when this Torydominated government is imposing Victorian conditions at work and in welfare.
Mr Gove also appears ignorant of the enormous diversity existing in state and private schools, uniform starting and finishing times and holidays long gone.
Former private schoolboy Mr Gove is likely to have enjoyed longer breaks than pupils in the state schools he now thinks should sit in sweaty classrooms during the summer.
He is crippled by a weakness for headlinegenerating statements, his plans rarely add up and he'd be certain to fail a GCSE in government and politics.
We need to teach our children to be innovative and to work smart yet this Cabinet dunce always sounds as if he wants to stand in front of a class with a cane, stuck in the mindset of the 19th Century he professes to disdain.
Kids deserve school holidays.
Holiday snatcher Michael Gove's quest for cheap headlines is no way to run a school.
