Give cops more cash.

South Wales Police Chief Constable, Barbara Wilding has voiced concerns over the force's funding, saying there may not be enough manpower to cover major events.

Her comments come after the police authority voted for a minimum percentage rise in its precept. Officers from other forces could now be drafted in to help.

While nobody likes paying more tax, public safety is one issue we don't want to skimp on.

There's no-one who'd mind digging a little deeper into their pockets to ensure there are more bobbies on the beat.

If it means one fewer house burglary or car theft, it's worth every penny.
