Give a coat to a homeless person.

DONATE a winter coat, jumper or fleece to a homeless person.

Middlesbrough Council and partner organisations have launched the Wrap Up Middlesbrough appeal for people to donate 250 winter coats, jumpers and fleeces which will be given to people who are homeless or suffering hardship. It is the brainchild of Councillor Brenda Thompson, who said: "I'm sure lots of us will have spare coats, jumpers, fleeces that we no longer wear and that would be gratefully received by those most in need."

Take donations to the town hall, Civic Centre and Vancouver House receptions until December 16. Items will be given out on December 17 1pm-3pm in the town hall Crypt.
