GiroSolution, UATP collaborate to offer additional online payment methods.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2015 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

Payment logistics specialist GiroSolution and the airline-owned payment network UATP said they have entered into a partnership that will enable all UATP merchants to offer and process additional online payment methods via existing infrastructure.

The agreement will focus on guaranteed online banking-based e-payment methods, such as giropay, eps and iDEAL. Germany's second-largest airline, airberlin, is the first airline to take advantage of this payment solution.

GiroSolution's PSP platform GiroCheckout will work in tandem with UATP's existing infrastructure to integrate alternative online payment methods with the airlines. UATP is accepted as a payment method by over 260 airlines. This is an advantage for airlines because they do not have to undertake any new, resource-intensive integration, but instead can rely on UATP's existing infrastructure.

As a payment logistics specialist, GiroSolution develops, integrates and operates payment solutions for digital channels owned by retailers, municipalities, and federal and state governments (e-government).

UATP is a global payment solution owned and operated by the world's airlines and accepted by thousands of merchants for air, rail and travel agency payments. Learn more at http://www.uatp.com.
