Girl, 15, racially abused on bus.

A 15-YEAR-OLD Cardiff girl has been racially abused and assaulted as she caught the bus to school.

The Somali teenager, who attends Fitzalan High School in Leckwith, had got on the number 13 bus at Newport Road when a woman started insulting her.

The woman then assaulted the teenager, pulling her hair and taking her glasses.

The frightened teenager got off the bus at Lansdowne Road.

South Wales Police say the bus was packed at the time and are appealing for any passengers who witnessed the incident to come forward.

It happened at 8.20am on Tuesday, September 18.

The woman is described as black and is believed to have been with her daughter.
