Gina Lacuna, pride of Cavite, retains Guinness Jigsaw title.

Tagaytay City, Cavite -- Hobbyist Georgina Gil-Lacuna remains the Guinness World Records titleholder with her big vast jigsaw puzzles collection - including her 32,000-piece jigsaw puzzle, the biggest ever in the world - at her sprawling guesthouse, here.

Until this day, no one in the world has broken the record set by Lacuna with the number of jigsaw puzzles that she assembled through the years.

Lacuna had presented more than a thousand jigsaw puzzle frames and stands when she was conferred a record certificate by the GWR organizers in November 2012. Her feat was a first and another pride for the Philippines.

Her collection is now on display at her so-called bed and breakfast "Puzzle Mansion" on Cuadra Street, Barangay Asisan, which the Tagaytay City government tags as a prime tourist spot.

Media have tagged Lacuna as the "Puzzle Queen" for her feat.

"There were over 1,200 pieces (jigsaw puzzle collection number) then (November 2012) now (January 2014) there are more than 1,500," Lacuna said as she presented her vast puzzle collection at the mansion.

The assembled puzzles include religious images, as well as those of animals, landscapes, and prominent personalities, cartoon characters and other attractive forms.

Lacuna, fondly called Gina, is a native of Rizal province. She was adjudged by the Guinness World Records for her rare achievements, besting other international jigsaw puzzle hobbyists all over the globe.

In 2013, no one broke her jigsaw puzzle collection number, thus retaining the title until this day.

Mayor Agnes D. Tolentino and her husband 7th District Representative Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino, other local, as well as national, officials lauded Lacuna for bringing honor to the city.

Lacuna's vast jigsaw puzzle collection - which includes the Renaissance, Impressionistic, Abstract, Modern, Pop Art and iconic photo puzzles - could be seen at her property which she has converted into a bed and breakfast establishment.

Lacuna said that she started her collection 26 years ago and that the completed jigsaw puzzles are mostly her travel mementoes.

Aside from the world-record collection, Lacuna is also deemed as the fastest who can complete a jigsaw puzzle frame on a certain time. She can finish a collection of two 500-piece puzzles in one day and a 1,000-piece puzzle overnight.
