Gilbert doubles up at Dundalk.

Byline: Miss Lee

TRAINER Marie Gilbert, successful last year with Miss Lee, did the double when hot favourite Aho Tony gained a narrow victory in the final of the Champions Restaurant Junior Cup at Dundalk on Friday.

Owned in partnership by Joe Dolan and Kevin Smith, the son of Top Savings and Bright Surprise went off the 4-6 favourite to make it seven victories on the trot and he had to pull out all the stops to take the EUR10,000 prize.

His early pace carried Aho Tony to the front, but he was at full stretch to hold the challenge of Seamus Graham's King Style by a head in 21.20sec. Strangford Ber was the best part of two lengths back in third..
