Gigi and Grandmama and the overstuffed chair.

Once there was a girl named Gigi who lived in a little house with her Mama, her dog Gingersnap, and her teensy-weensy hamster Miss Princess.

One day there was a knock at the door. Gigi opened it and there stood Grandmama. Gigi jumped into Grandmama's arms. "I'm so glad you came to visit me," said Gigi. "Let's have a tea party!"

Grandmama smiled and looked past Gigi to the parlor, where Mama's brand-new overstuffed chair sat in the warm sunshine. "A cup of tea sounds wonderful," answered Grandmama, "but first I must have a teensy-weensy nap."

Grandmama put Gigi down and walked over to Mama's brand-new overstuffed chair. Soon, she was fast asleep.

Gigi filled her teapot, fetched her favorite cookies from the kitchen, took her loveliest teacups out of the toy trunk, and set the small table in her room. "Everything looks just grand," Gigi said to herself.

Gigi ran to the parlor and nudged Grandmama, who had sunk down very far into Mama's big, new overstuffed chair. "Come, Grandmama," Gigi said. "I've got everything ready. It's tea time."

Grandmama opened her eyes and smiled. "Ah, yes. Tea time!" she said. But Grandmama could not get up out of the chair.

Gigi pulled on Grandmama. She pulled and pulled, but Grandmama would not come out of the overstuffed chair.

"Mama!" Gigi cried. "Come help! It's tea time and Grandmama is stuck in the overstuffed chair!"

Mama came running. She pulled on Gigi, who pulled on Grandmama, but Grandmama would not come out of the overstuffed chair.

"Gingersnap!" Gigi cried. "Come help! It's tea time and Grandmama is stuck in the overstuffed chair!"

Gingersnap came running. She pulled on Mama, who pulled on Gigi, who pulled on Grandmama, but Grandmama would not come out of the brand-new overstuffed chair.

"Miss Princess!" Gigi cried. "Come help! It's tea time and Grandmama is stuck in the overstuffed chair!"

Miss Princess came running. She pulled on Gingersnap, who pulled on Mama, who pulled on Gigi, who pulled on Grandmama. They pulled and pulled a teensy-weensy bit more, and Grandmama came out of the overstuffed chair!

"Oh, Grandmama," said Gigi. "Now we can have tea time!"
