SCOTTISH band of the moment Frightened Rabbit are at The Sage Gateshead Hall 2 tonight.

Following Zane Lowe making it his Hottest Record in the World Right Now the quintet's latest single is The Woodpile, which is on their recently released fourth studio album Pedestrian Verse.

Commenting on the single, singer Scott Hutchison says: "The Woodpile took a deceptively long time to come together.

"I think the recording that ended up on the record is version number five, and it was worth taking our time with it.

"It may be one of the most straightforward songs we've written to date, but those can often be harder to get right than the weirder ones.

"I wanted to write a big, brazen rock song about being lonely and socially awkward. I like that contrast."
