Ghazwan bags showjumping honours.
The event featured five categories and it was held under the patronage of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) president Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
Ghazwan, one of the kingdom's best showjumpers, was named winner in his division after he achieved a time of 40.83 seconds on his horse Fairooz.
The class featured fences 120 to 135cm in height with a course speed of 350 metres/minute. It was the day's grand contest, and Ghazwan's win was his fifth so far this season, following his achievements in the Breef Season Opening Championship.
The winners of all five contests were honoured by Breef board member Tawfeeq Al Salehi, Breef general secretary and showjumping committee chairman Ghalib Al Alawi and committee member Nabeel Mubarak.
Iyad Fareed won the first class of the adults' contest, which included one round and 120 to 135cm hurdles and a course speed of 350 m/m.
The second stage for adults was bagged by Muslim Ali, who finished in a total time of 50.26 seconds, excelling in the two-round event which had fences 110 to 120cm in height and course speed of 350 m/m.
The first and second stages of youth contests were won by Ali Abdulrasool, finishing in 26.39s in the first and 31.58s in the second to complete a fine double.
