Getty Images Expands Strategic Alliance With AltaVista.

Adds Imagery From Six Additional Product Brands to AltaVista's Image Index

SEATTLE, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Getty Images, Inc. (Nasdaq: GETY), the leading e-commerce provider of imagery and related products and services, and AltaVista Company, the Internet's premier media and commerce network, today announced a strategic alliance that expands their existing agreement by integrating hundreds of thousands of images from Getty Images' product brands into AltaVista's image index. This new agreement will significantly extend the breadth of Getty Images' offerings on AltaVista, which reported 47 million unique visitors worldwide in December.

Included in this expanded agreement is celebrity photography from Online USA, current events photography from Newsmakers, sports photography from AllSport, royalty-free imagery from PhotoDisc and contemporary stock imagery from The Image Bank. Currently, famous works by Renoir, Monet, Warhol, and hundreds of other artists, as well as photography and illustration from Getty Images' Art.com and Eyewire brands are included in AltaVista's image index.
