Get on the run to support charity.

The Stroke Association is calling on Monklands runners to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival to raise funds for the charity and help people affected by strokes to rebuild their lives.

The event, which takes place on May 25 and 26, consists of full and half marathons, a 10k and 5k and a team relay over marathon distance.

Kirsty Scott, the charity's fundraising manager in Scotland, said: "We have guaranteed places for the Edinburgh Marathon and would love for you to join our team.

"We ask all runners with a charity place to pay an entry fee of PS20 and raise a minimum of PS495 in sponsorship.

"By helping to raise awareness of stroke and raising funds, we can reach even more people."

To secure a place, register on the Edinburgh Marathon website and fill out the form at the bottom of the page to pay the registration fee.
