Get equipped for a career offshore; ADVERTISING FEATURE.

THERE'S never been a better time to train for a career in the oil and gas industry - and now starting out in the sector has been made even more affordable.

As the market leader in offshore survival training, Petrofac Training Services have made the necessary training required to work offshore even more accessible with flexible payment options and a fantastic price.

Petrofac Training Services safety and survival manager Hugh Chisholm said: "The oil and gas industry is fast growing.

"And with a recent report by the Bank of Scotland forecasting 39,000 new jobs in the UK over the next two years, there has never been a better time to consider a career in oil and gas."

Both the Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) and Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) are prerequisites to go offshore.

For a limited time only, Petrofac Training Services, in Aberdeen, are offering BOSIET and MIST courses for a special price of PS620.

The BOSIET offers a variety of fundamental skills for working offshore in oil and gas, including helicopter safety and escape, emergency first aid, sea survival, fire-fighting and lifeboat training.

Trainees also get invaluable careers advice and hot leads on who is recruiting in the oil and gas sector.

Hugh added: "To make it easier for those looking to take that first step on to the career ladder, we give our customers the option to spread the payments, ensuring it's more affordable to get the training required to work offshore.

"With record investment in the sector and a widely reported skills shortage, there's a variety of opportunities for those looking to start or further their career in oil and gas.

"Weekend courses are now available on select dates and we can also help with hotel discounts for people who need to travel to our training centres in Aberdeen."
