Get Intimate With Smokey Robinson On 'Mega' 92.3; Motown Icon Hosts 'Intimate with Smokey Robinson' Beginning July 24th.

LOS ANGELES--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--July 5, 2000

Mega (KCMG-FM 92.3 Mhz), an AMFM Inc. (NYSE: AFM) radio station, today announced that beginning July 24th, Motown's legendary Smokey Robinson will host a new on-air show, Intimate with Smokey Robinson, which will air Monday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. PDT.

Intimate with Smokey Robinson will give listeners an up close and personal look at Smokey and his career each night, along with the opportunity to interact directly with Smokey while he plays requests and dedications on his new show.

Smokey Robinson is the legendary Motown singer/songwriter/producer and member of 'The Miracles' whose solo hits include Crusin' and Being With You and group hits which include the unforgettable Tears Of A Clown and Ooh Baby Baby. He has written 36 'Top 40' hits including My Girl, Get Ready and The Way You Do The Things You Do written and produced for 'The Temptations'. Smokey has earned many music industry awards including the Grammy's Living Legend Award, NARAS' Lifetime Achievement Award and Soul Train's Heritage Award, and he has been inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame. In September of 1999, Smokey released a new album Intimate, marking his return to Motown after an eight-year absence.
