Germany tees-off with Iris.

On 5 December 2005 the German Air Force took delivery of the first series production Iris-T air-to-air missile for use with the Eurofighter aircraft. The Iris-T is to become standard kit for the Eurofighter, the Gripen, Tornado, F-16 and F-18 aircraft types. Diehl is prime contractor in the Iris-T programme, with Saab Bofors Dynamics, Nammo, MBDA-IT. Expal, HAI and others participating.
