Geri Halliwell to write children's books.

Geri Halliwell, a former member of pop group the Spice Girls, is to write a series of children's books.

Halliwell, who has been signed up by Macmillan Children's Books, is to write a six-book series featuring the character of nine-year-old Ugenia Lavender.

According to Channel 4 News, audio editions of the books are to be read by Halliwell and the series will be published in hardback, with one book being released each month from May to October 2008.
