LIVERPOOL FC supporters club, the German Reds, made a special presentation to legendary Anfield stadium announcer George Sephton to mark his 40 years of service to the club.

Chairman of the German Reds Ronald Nuernberger, with their Liverpool-based secretary Graham Agg and member Jan Willert, met Sephton at Anfield to present him with the award.

Sephton, who started back in August 1971, is the longest serving stadium announcer in world football. Nuernberger said: "It was an absolute honour to meet George and all German Reds Liverpool FC Supporters Club members hope to continue to hear 'the Voice of Anfield'' for many years to come. Thank you George for 40 fantastic years."
