Geordie girls are best.
In Newcastle for an intimate Metro Radio gig at Bar 55 this week, the former boyband star-turned solo artist told Angel Eyes: "Geordie women are lush. I always think so when I come up here, even when I was with my boys."
But before you get too excited, Simon, 26, made it clear that he's not looking for love. He said: "I don't ever want my daughter to see me in the papers with some random woman. I don't want the mum and dads in the playground talking about her dad like that.
"I'm really busy so it's just not the time. I'm working hard on my solo career."
But he wasn't overly-pleased when Angel Eyes broached the subject of his ex-bandmate Antony Costa's recent appearance on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
Clearly prickled by the mention of the hit TV show, Simon said bluntly: "I haven't had time to watch it. They're my boys but we're doing our own thing now."
Wooo! Get you. Excuse us for asking, Si.
