Genomma Lab Internacional, SAB de CV (BMV: LAB B), a pharmaceutical and personal care products company in Mexico, has received a Sanitary License from the Mexican Federal Commission for the Protection Against Health Risks (COFEPRIS), it was reported yesterday.

The license allows the company's new manufacturing facility to start operations of the first Solid (pills) and Semisolid (ointments) products through its production lines.

Receiving the Sanitary License is a key objective in the process of earning the GMP certification (Good Manufacturing Practices), required to sell pharma-grade products to the market. The firm will now start the filing process with COFEPRIS to receive the GMP certificates for Mexico and all markets in which the company operates. Genomma Lab will also apply for GMP certificates to be granted by the National Regulatory Body of each export market.
