Genessee wholesaler in Pennsylvania helps raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Durdach Bros., Inc., a Genesee Brewing Co. distributor in Paxinos, PA, recently raised a total of $11,525 to be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help wipe out the genetic killer of children.

The money was raised through the Genesee's October "Boo-ster" program, which was designed to encourage on-premise customers to make cash donations to the Foundation by purchasing a Halloween "Boo-ster" ghost for a dollar or more, sign their name, and display it in the establishment.

The money was raised by a total of 182 participating accounts located throughout Pennsylvania's Northumberland, Columbia, Montour, Union, Snyder and Schuylkill counties.

"We are very pleased with the enthusiastic support and generosity of all those who participated in this program," said Richard Durdach, the distributorship's owner. "This program not only raised much-needed funds, but generates an awareness and understanding of the number-one genetic killer of children - cystic fibrosis."

Through the network of Genesee wholesalers that were involved in the program, over $200,000 was raised for the cause, Durdach added.
