General strike in Greek customs hits int'l transits.

EDyRNE (CyHAN)- International transits have nearly come to halt when workers in Greek customs went on general strikes.

Following the farmers, custom workers in the neighboring country of Greece went on strike. With the beginning of the general strike international transits in Turkish ypsala and Pazarkule Boder Gates have severely hit.

Meanwhile, via its official website, Regional Directorate of Thrace Custom and Trade warned those Turkish citizens who planning to go to Greece. Reportedly general strike has started 06:00 and it's scheduled to be ended on Sunday at 18:00 Turkish local time.

With the beginning of the new day, Turkish citizens who had no information on the general strike started to arrive at the customs. Some people, who intended to visit neighboring Greece, turned back following being warned by the Turkish authorities while some of them went to the Kapykule Border Gate to try their chance over Bulgaria.

A Turkish citizen Ahmet Koc, who also obliged to return back, said he was planning to Greece city of Orestiada but due to general strike he turned back since he could not manage to enter Greece.
