INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Gay.com, a San Francisco-based e-commerce company that provides products and services to gay and lesbian consumers, says its web site surpassed the 100m monthly page view milestone in April.

During the month the site added over 100,000 new registered members, Gay.com says, and according to DoubleClick's audited reports reached 2.6m unique visitors. DoubleClick's figures also show that Gay.com is the gay online market leader in Canada, Latin America and the UK and that it reaches over 300,000 unique visitors per month in Europe.

In addition Media Metrix's March 2000 web usage report shows that Gay.com had double the number of daily visitors, double the number of page views per visit and six times more monthly page views than the closest competitive gay web site.
