Gatland: Judge us at World Cup; RUGBY UNION.

Byline: MATT LLOYD

Wales v South Africa Tomorrow 2.30pm

WARREN GATLAND reckons Wales are ahead of schedule - despite their autumn woes.

Wales face South Africa tomorrow having lost four of their last five Tests, including twice to the Springboks.

Yet Gatland (right) is bullish over the Dragons' chances in next year's World Cup against pool rivals England and Australia.

He said: "There's nothing on these autumn games and we will ultimately be judged at the World Cup and getting out of that pool.

"When you look back at where we were at this stage before the last World Cup, we are ahead of schedule.

"I'm very excited about the next six months we will have together as a squad, and what we can achieve after having that time to work in far greater detail."

WALES: L Halfpenny; A Cuthbert, J Davies, J Roberts, L Williams; D Biggar, R Webb; G Jenkins, S Baldwin, S Lee, J Ball, AW Jones, D Lydiate, T Faletau, S Warburton (capt). Replacements: E Phillips, A Jarvis, R Jones, L Charteris, J King, M Phillips, R Priestland, S Williams.
