Gateway Building gets Merit Award.

The American Institute of Architects Northwest Washington Chapter gave a Merit Award to the Gateway Building at its annual Design Awards Program. Designed by Bellingham's Zervas Group Architects, the building is at the corner of Holly Street and Railroad Avenue.

In accepting the award, Michael E. Smith, FAIA of Zervas Group Architects recognized the building owner, Lisa Woo, for her perseverance through a six-year design and construction schedule. The Gateway Building is a mix of restaurants, retail and office activity.
