Gate Gourmet appoints new chief commercial officer.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Airline caterer Gate Gourmet has revealed that it has appointed Herman Anbeek as group senior vice president of Sales and Marketing and chief commercial officer, and a member of the company's executive management team, with effect 1 June.

In this role Anbeek will head Gate Gourmet's global sales and marketing function and will be based at the company's co-headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. His responsibilities also include leadership of the company's eGate Solutions inflight planning and management capabilities; the FiveOceans Inflight subsidiary of Hong Kong, which offers an integrated supply process for inflight articles; and Packattack and POTM, Netherlands-based partners specialising in designing and developing packaging concepts.

Anbeek joins the company from LSG Sky Chefs, where he was chief commercial officer. Prior to that he served as senior vice president, Marketing & Sales - Europe/Middle East/Africa. Before joining LSG Sky Chefs in 2001 Anbeek worked for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for seven years in a variety of capacities, including management-level positions in Inflight Services and Catering Services.
