ISPEGG is an inspection machine dedicated to the checking of large
gaskets. The machine's applied principle, which is patent-pending,
consists of the division of the inspected area, thus allowing a higher
total resolution than the one obtained with traditional checking systems
used up until now with large gaskets (from 50 to 150 mm and from 100 to
250 mm external diameter). The ISPEGG is composed of three different
elements. The feeding unit is composed of a conveyor and stocking belt,
and a vibrating cup dedicated to the feeding of o-rings with external
diameters of between 50 and 150 mm (or the version from 100 to 250 mm),
a device to put the parts one after the other and a pick-and-place
device that places the parts on a linear conveyor. The checking unit is
composed of an electromechanical set for single part rotation, six
linear progression scan cameras, an optical system with manual zoom for
image optimization, a low consumption lighting system for the stations,
and structure and safety guards that conform to EC standards. The
man-machine interlace includes a computer, printer and electrical
equipment. (Doss) www.doss.it
