Algeria is waiting for the European Union (EU) to formalize the gas price agreement that the two sides have reached recently, Trade Minister El Hachemi Djaaboub said on Monday here. "This agreement has not yet been formalized, we expect it to be formalized in writing by the EU," he told APS on the sidelines of a meeting with his department's senior executives. In 2007, Algeria started negotiations with the EU on the abolition of the 13 percent anti-dumping tax imposed by European countries on fertilizers manufactured by Algerian company "Fertial" on the pretext that the gas price used in this industry was subsidized.
