Gary's Ray of Euro hope.
Gary Barnett used to play alongside Ray Houghton in the Oxford team which went from the third division to the first under Bald Eagle Jim Smith in the 80s.But even that can't compare with the success he has achieved with League of Wales minnows Barry Town since he took over as player-coach just seven weeks ago.
Barnett leads Barry into their home clash with Hungarians Budapest Vasutas this Tuesday hoping to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg of their UEFA Cup qualifying round.
And he is hoping to surpass his best moment in football - inspiring Barry to become the first League of Wales team ever to achieve success in Europe when they knocked out Latvians Dinaburg 2-1 on aggregate in the last round.
"That must be the high spot of my career," says Barnett.
