Garrick- Aug brings Lata to Soho.

Faith Hope Consolo and Roberta Baldizzone of Garrick-Aug Associates Store Leasing, Inc., the exclusive United States representative for Lata GmbH, have arranged for the Swiss luxury shoe retailer and manufacturer to open a second retail boutique in New York's Soho, at 430 West Broadway, between Prince and Spring streets.

Lata operates 60 stores in Europe primarily in Italy and Switzerland, under the name Ckyra Ltd.

Under the terms of a 10 year lease, the new 1,800 square-foot location, operating under the name Kerquelen, will complement Lata's 6,000 square-foot flagship retail store, corporate headquarters and showroom, located nearby at 44 Greene Street.

"With such upscale neighbors as Dolce & Gabbana, Furla, Ralph Lauren and Gucci, which will open later this year, Kerquelen is a perfect fit for Soho," says Consolo, vice chairman of Garrick-Aug.

"Lata is a major player in Europe and we expect it will become so in the United States as well," adds Baldizzone, a retail consultant with the firm. "Both the West Broadway and Green Street locations will hit the ground running when they open this summer."
