Gargaoun fun for families.

TRADITIONAL and family activities, against the backdrop of a themed Arabic tent, are being featured at Moda Mall's Ramadan celebrations.

A Gargaoun was held for children where they were entertained by mascots and cartoon characters while other activities included face-painting and decorative henna art.

A 15-member Bahraini folklore band entertained mall visitors with traditional live music and dance performances.

The mall is also showcasing Bahraini craftsmanship, with each weekend seeing local artisans displaying their unique skills, including the art of gypsum engraving - intricately patterned designs carved on a miniature range of items, as well as traditional handmade musical instruments.

There will also be live demonstrations of pottery making, basket weaving, boat making and Arabic calligraphy.

For purchases of BD30 and above, shoppers will be given a raffle ticket and a chance to win shopping vouchers worth BD15,000.

The Ramadan promotion continues until June 20 and the winners will be announced after Eid.
